Anne started weaving honeysuckle vines at age 12 to pass the time while tending the goats on her parents’ farm in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. She kept on developing her own unique style of weaving into adulthood, and is entirely self-taught. She has honed that personal style to a level of mastery that Anne now has two of her baskets in the collection of the Smithsonian Institute’s Renwick Gallery. She was also recenlty featured in a PBS documentary of notable basketweavers.
