Monstera Leaf

Sale price$279.00

Art you can serve on

The Large Monstera Leaf brings a bit of tropical drama to the table. Kass O’Brien exaggerates the iconic split leaf into a sculptural ceramic form that’s as useful as it is beautiful—ideal as a platter for fruit or hors d’oeuvres, or as a base for candles and objects on a coffee table.

Craftsman Profile

Kass O'Brien

Kass O’Brien creates ceramic works of art for interior
settings. Each piece explores texture, movement, and
color, expressed through various scales that allow her vases, mirrors, sconces, and other forms to serve as either a room's defining detail or focal point.
Kass’ sculptural objects reflect her observations of
beauty in the natural world, from seaweed washed
ashore to freshly fallen palm branches, transforming
quiet moments into lasting pieces.

Kass received a BFA from the Columbus College of Art& Design and an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Prior to founding Kass O’Brien Ceramics, Kass
spent two decades as an elementary school art
teacher, during which time she shared her love and
appreciation for all mediums. Today, Kass’ studios are
located in West Palm Beach, Florida and Lake Forest,
Illinois.

Also Seen In...

Ceramicist Kass O'Brien brings the textures of her surroundings into each sculptural piece. Her work channels organic forms and coastal elements with reverence and curiousity.

Mother Nature is the muse behind O’Brien’s art that is laden with deeply personal memories, and sculpted with a spirit of wonder and nostalgia.

Whether her inspiration comes from a willow tree, a barnacle, or a leaf she spots on a neighboring apartment complex, she’s going to continue doing what she loves: creating pieces formed by cherished memories.
