Sturdy Brothers
Sturdy Brothers is the creation of our friend Benjamin Young, who is based in Thomasville, GA. As is the case with many crafts, the best machines used by master leatherworkers are big, sturdy pieces of cast iron made before WWII. Ben is a collector of these vintage leatherworking machines, and visiting his workshop you are transported back to another era. We feel that his leather goods share that timeless quality, and will last you for years to come.
Two brothers, Ben and Spencer Young were working at a coffee shops and were growing tired of the lack of quality of their aprons that were not nearly coffee proof. After growing sick of being filthy everyday, Spencer Young decided to make his own waxed canvas apron, and with that the goal of the Sturdy Brothers was born. The apron was originally made for baristas, but chefs also needs an easy to clean durable apron for everyday use. The apron is maxed, so it is ready to take a beating and not need to be washed. It is perfect for a barbeque or oyster roast as this apron is made to get dirty. After the creation of the apron, Ben Young decided to execute a vision for an online men's store, and after several other products were developed such as the tool roll, tote bag, and duffle bags and the business was created.
Ben and Spencer's goal is to "rekindle a standard of American craftsmanship", they are executing this goal with skilled work and quality materials. Sturdy Brothers products are as perfect alternative to junk products that will tear up in a year and so. They continue to work out of Thomasville and create durable items that will last.
