Why Serious Cooks Love Smithey's Carbon Steel Pans

Naturally Non-Stick — No Coatings.

With regular cooking, carbon steel develops a natural seasoning that creates a smooth, non-stick surface. No synthetic coatings—just steel, oil, and time improving the pan with every meal.

Craft You Can See.

Unlike factory-stamped cookware, Smithey’s carbon steel pans carry the visible marks of the forge. The beautiful hand-hammered handle and cooking surface gives each skillet a distinctive character that reflects the maker’s touch.

Fast Heat. Precise Control.

Carbon steel heats faster and responds more quickly to temperature changes than cast iron. That means better control when searing steaks, frying eggs, or building delicate pan sauces.

Craftsman Profile

Smithey Ironware

Isaac Morton started out as a collector of
vintage cookware. Eventually he decided
to apply his knowledge of 19th and early 20th
century cast iron to develop his own line of
pans, but leveraging modern forging technology
to make them lighter, easier to care for, and
machined with a smoother, more “non-stick”
cooking surface. The resulting cookware is
beautiful, functional, and nearly indestructable.
