No. 12 Cast Iron Grill Pan

EMPTY DOM REMOVE PROTECTOR
Sale price$220.00

A cast iron pan that brings the flavor of the grill indoors

There are evenings when the grill isn’t an option—but the food still deserves those unmistakable grill marks. The Smithey No. 12 Grill Pan brings that flavor indoors.

Deep ridges elevate food above the cooking surface, allowing fats to render away while creating beautiful caramelization. Steaks, chops, vegetables, and even grilled sandwiches develop the char and texture cooks love.  Crafted in Charleston and finished with Smithey’s signature attention to detail, this grill pan delivers the heat retention and performance cast iron is known for—while bringing a touch of outdoor cooking into the kitchen.

Craftsman Profile

Smithey Ironware

Isaac Morton started out as a collector of
vintage cookware. Eventually he decided
to apply his knowledge of 19th and early 20th
century cast iron to develop his own line of
pans, but leveraging modern forging technology
to make them lighter, easier to care for, and
machined with a smoother, more “non-stick”
cooking surface. The resulting cookware is
beautiful, functional, and nearly indestructable.

As Seen In...

Here is what the food press has been saying about Smithey

All that weight isn’t for nothing, though: It holds and conducts heat remarkably well, lending the polished skillet incredible searing power. (also) the slippery interior released any stuck-on food with little effort.

Smithey’s cast-iron pan is a champ at searing a steak and earns Very Good scores for baking cornbread. It has a highly polished interior, which the company claims gives it nonstick properties.

Overall, I definitely recommend this pan … for whatever kitchen tasks you perform most often. It gets ripping hot, stays hot, and transfers heat smoothly and reliably to food.
